If you’re in a partnership or plan on getting into a partnership one day, this episode is for you.
This week we have two incredible business owners. Monica Moore and Shaun Astorga are the owners of AMP Performance Rehab.
I trust these two to treat my family and I’m proud to call them friends.
They have a great partnership, each has different roles and responsibilities in the business so in this episode we talk about how they break things up and manage tasks.
It’s very easy to get pulled in different directions when running a business but with a partnership like Shaun and Monica’s, they’re able to play to their strengths. Which is why they just opened another practice last month.
This comes with new challenges in areas like leadership, finance, marketing, and hiring. All are discussed in depth.
One thing about Monica and Shaun is that they never miss a live event. They see the value in it and add value to it by sharing information with our attendees.
If you or someone you know isn’t in our group and could benefit from a conversation with practice owners like Shaun and Monica click here to apply for a free pass to our Rehab Chiro Mastermind Live this May 18-19th.
There will be over 100 practice owners in attendance and with our guest speaker Mike Michalowicz teaching a lesson on finding, attaining, and retaining the patients that are right for you, it will be an event you CAN’T MISS!

Do you take my insurance?
This is one of the biggest objections we face as out-of-network rehab clinicians.
And if you just accept these cases as “not the right fit,” then you are throwing thousands of dollars out the window.
So let's clear up why we struggle with this simple question.
It’s because you are not being effective in communicating to your patients WHY you don’t take insurance and are more expensive than the provider down the street.
It’s not that they’re a bad fit, it’s that they don’t understand.
And this isn’t about sales as much as it’s about marketing.
You need to get better at marketing yourself in a category of 1. Refine your message and make your value so desirable that your audience identifies with you.
How can you do this?
This is exactly what our live event this May 18-19th will be helping its attendees overcome.
We are going to help you define and communicate your marketing message, enabling you to find the patients that are perfect for YOU.

If you know us, you know that our live events are the best part of being in our community.
Zoom and Instagram are great and all, but being able to shake hands, and have a real conversation in person cannot be substituted for anything online.
So this week I’m giving you a preview of our next live event. I talk with our guest speaker and best-selling author of the Pumpkin Plan, Mike Michalowicz.
He is brilliant and shares so much valuable information that we’ll expand upon at our live event this May.
That information is about niche development and finding the perfect people for you.
“When you become a specialist, you become elite” - Mike
We also touch on recruiting and how to build a team that will run the business you started.
Make sure you take notes and listen twice because having a business genius give you advice specifically catered to your industry is a huge advantage.
If you want to learn more from Mike, talk to like-minded individuals, and connect with our team, click here to apply for a guest pass to our Rehab Chiro Mastermind Live Event this May!

One of the pillars of our model is charging the right price for your services.
But it’s not just about the number. It’s about knowing your worth and having the confidence to demand it. Because in business, that is one of the most important parts of being successful
Since graduating from Chiropractic school I’ve come to learn my worth over the years. It’s a journey I’ve taken alongside a few people.
One of those people is Jake Altman of Prime Performance Sports Chiropractic. He is a world-class clinician, a one-of-a-kind business owner, and a dear friend of mine.
Jake’s someone who has that perfect mix of intellect and charisma so many of us yearn for.
In the episode, Jake says that treatment is about 20% of what we do as Rehab Chiros, and he is absolutely right.
So we explore that remaining 80%. Pricing, promoting on social media, and winning the battle within. (For people who are contemplating if you should raise your prices or not, this episode is for you)
I see Jake at every live event and every time he makes more and more progress toward the potential I know he can reach as his friend and business coach.
I hope you enjoy!
...
And if you’re looking to meet like-minded individuals like Jake and take part in these types of conversations instead of just listening you should come to our next RCM live. Click here to apply for a guest pass to our Rehab Chiro Mastermind Live Event on May 18th and 19th.
We will have the author of the New York Times best-selling book The Pumpkin Plan, Mike Michalowicz there as our guest speaker. So trust me when I say you don’t want to miss this event! Click here to inquire!

From starting off her practice with a bang to managing the pains of growth, the road to success has been a 24/7 mission for Angela Francis.
Only a few years out of school, Angela has dominated a niche, hired help, and is now reaching new heights of success.
Which also means things are getting harder. Because as we all know in business, growth isn’t easy or linear.
Angie returns to the podcast as a more introspective and mindful individual. Sharing the highs and lows of her journey thus far.
This week’s episode isn’t an interview as much as it’s a conversation. Her ideas, experience, and perspective are captivating and extremely valuable for anyone in our industry.
It’s an episode I’ll be coming back to myself!

Many people who search for success can’t find it because they can’t check their egos.
You may even be one of them.
But the truth is, it’s impossible to conquer your goals if you can’t conquer yourself. Sometimes you need to be humbled in order to get to where you want to be.
I’ve seen this in chiropractors who are reluctant to learn from me because I am younger than them. Their ego won’t allow it.
This week we have someone who is older than me but doesn’t have that problem.
Dave Glazer has been able to skyrocket his business partially because he wasn’t too egotistical to learn some things from me.
As someone who is a veteran in this profession, there’s a lot to learn from him as a clinician.
And for those of you who want to establish a niche, you can also learn from him as a businessman. (He is in the process of establishing a niche in the running community.)
Dave shares a lot of valuable insight throughout this episode. He is going to take you to school!

Sometimes in life, we reach truly surreal moments.
When things that you believed were possible actually happen, they both remind you of how far you’ve come and propel you toward greater things.
Last month we had the honor of having entrepreneur and author Dan Martell speak during our Rehab Chiro Mastermind group on one of our calls. (For those of you who don’t know him, do a quick Google search)
It was one of the milestone moments of this community.
So luckily for you, I’m going to share some of the most profound lessons he shared with us.
Valuable messages about:
Establishing growth
Finding your tribe
Getting what you deserve
The ultimate flex
If you weren’t there you missed out, but this is the next best thing.
After listening you won’t want to miss out on more opportunities like this. This is one reason amongst many why you should look into joining our Biz 101 for Chiropractors course.

This week we continue our series of VIP interviews. These have been some of the most powerful and insightful episodes we’ve ever done. It really shows the quality of people we have in our community!
Today I’m sharing my conversation with Dr. Dann Charlat, owner of I.MOVE. Health And Performance in Portland Oregon.
Like my previous interviews with Jenna and JC, you’ll hear his story and learn how fast he moves. All three are fast to take action and implement the principles that will grow a rehab clinic. And that’s why they are where they are.
We talk about:
The challenge of building a team
Mindset & managing emotions
Dealing with setbacks
Holding yourself accountable
Setting goals
One thing about Dann is that he is great at constantly improving both himself and his business, that’s why he has gotten to the point where he has a 3-4 week waitlist for his practice.
So for those of you who are just about to graduate school and are looking for a job, Dann needs some help. So reach out to him, his info is included at the end of the episode.
You’d be silly not to see this opportunity through.

I have to say that not everyone who comes into our community is struggling.
Yes, we love to help Chiros in desperate need of it, but sometimes we get lucky enough to work with Chiros who are already successful.
And this week's guest is one of those Chiros.
Doctor Jenna Lagana is a very impressive young professional from California.
After starting her career by doing house calls Jenna reached out to me for some advice on getting her own space. We’ve been colleagues ever since.
It’s great to see her growth in this past year because we didn’t do it for her, we just helped. She’s really kicked ass!
For a lot of young Chiros in school or fresh out of school, this episode will be very valuable for you. You’ll get the perspective of a successful Chiro who just graduated from school and what she did to get where she is.
P.S. - If you're in school and looking for job, stay until the end!
