It’s never too early to think about hiring.
If you’re out there working solo in business the thing you need help with is your admin work.
You need someone who can handle bookings, calls, and billing.
When I first started it was my mom.
People make the mistake of jumping ahead and hiring an associate or marketing assistant first.
But if those people do well and you get an influx of leads, who is going to handle the logistical stuff for you?
Then I would hire a marketing assistant.
It doesn’t have to be a corporate person. It could actually be an intern or someone with little marketing experience. (This is what I did and it’s worked out great for me)
When hiring you don’t need to go from 0-100. Mostly because you can’t afford it, and also because it’s not worth it.
Take steps to grow your employees and grow your leadership skills in the process.

I see many people leave school or their associateship and start a business with false expectations.
So here's the truth, starting a business will not get you paid fast or consistently.
It’s normal, or honestly pretty lucky to get paid like a part-time employee at the start because you have to keep re-investing in your business if you want it to grow.
Unless you don’t have a trust fund or a bunch of advantages, that’s how it goes for all of us.
The great things in life take time to build and achieve.
Business is one of those things!

We’re creeping up on two years of doing the podcast, so I wanted to take it back to one of my favorite and most popular episodes.
It’s my interview with Angela Francis who joined our program 7 months before she even opened her practice. She grew so quickly that she was almost a victim of her own success.
In this group, we have a lot of badass businesswomen and they want to hear from someone who is just like them. Someone who has the same fears, problems, and aspirations as them.
Angie’s first month in business she hit $10k in revenue! (Impressive right?)
Not only is she an awesome business owner, but she also helps mothers in the postpartum phase of their pregnancy, which is a topic dear to me as one of her past patients is my wife.
Operating in the small state of Rhode Island, she has learned how to find her niche and make her presence known in it!
This conversation has everything from social media marketing to overcoming anxiety. I know you’ll enjoy it!

The new year is upon us!
It’s a great time to reflect on the year you’ve had and get ready for the one that is coming.
So since I’ve had a year filled with tremendous challenges and triumphs, I wanted to share the biggest lessons I learned this year.
Lessons like how to stick to my vision. When we first started our live events 25 people showed up. We’ve grown so much since then that our last event had 95 attendees, and it looks like the next one in January will blow that number out of the water.
Also lessons like how to be courageous. Yes, it’s scary to hire, raise prices, and speak in front of audiences, but if you aren’t courageous enough to do it even though you’re scared then you’ll never see the growth you desire.
In this episode, I discuss how I learned these lessons amongst others.
I encourage you to reflect and do the same.
That’s how you’ll make 24’ greater than 23’!
P.S. - If you want to start your year off with a great opportunity for networking and learning, click here to apply for a guest pass to our January live event!

This week is a preview of our live event.
I interview Kevin Vandi, a seven-figure practice owner, world-class clinician, father of five, and guest speaker at our Rehab Chiro Mastermind Live Event this January.
But his story wasn’t always like this.
Kevin not only had to climb the mountain of building a practice like the rest of us, but it’s also a biomechanics lab. One that requires tons of expensive equipment to operate. (Not to mention running it in the Bay Area of California, the most expensive area in our country)
We discuss his journey to success in business and the details of his clinical operations.
Including his sales strategies, treatment, training, and how he communicates the complex topic of Biomechanics to everyday people. (He shares his process with us)
Plus, he is starting a brand new practice. So you’ll get to hear us talk through what it’s like to open a new location with the knowledge of already running a seven-figure practice.
Usually, you get a rockstar clinician who struggles with business, but Kevin excels at both. So I know you’ll enjoy this one.
P.S. - If you’re interested in getting even more information on taking a practice from zero to millions of dollars, you can attend our Rehab Chiro Mastermind Live Event this January. You’ll be able to meet Kevin, ask him questions, as well as connect with a hundred other professionals just like you. Click here to apply for a guest pass!

I was recently rejected by a business mastermind group that I applied to.
Not ideal, but it was a learning experience.
So I wanted to share lessons I learned from one of life's greatest teachers, REJECTION.
My personal feelings.
How I relate this experience to our profession.
And why I’m proud of myself after getting rejected.
If you live a life that stays clear of rejection then you’ll never get anywhere.
Because 9/10 times, the things you want will come after discomfort.
I think this may be one of my most valuable episodes yet.
So if you’re scared to raise your price or reach out to that gym owner because you think you’ll get a no, then this episode is perfect for YOU!
P.S. - If you’re looking for a way to learn more about the new patient journey so you can create a frictionless sales process, click here to apply for a guest pass to our live event where we'll cover that exact topic amongst more.

What you are trying to do is different and very difficult!
The path of least resistance would be to take insurance.
And since you don't, if you don’t know how to communicate why you’re charging more money and not taking insurance, then your patients never will.
Do your patients know why you don’t take insurance?
Do they know why you’re more expensive?
What do they think?
Who are they comparing you to?
These are a few of the questions you NEED to answer if you want to outperform the market that’s filled with insurance-based clinics.
If you give the type of care other chiros do then take insurance.
If not, then this episode is for you.
This week’s about how to communicate better, have empathy for your patients, and figure out how to sell what you do!
Listen, learn, and go implement.
